Parking and driving in the city

Bandung's central streets are narrower and busier than the toll road prepares you for, and weekend traffic in the popular areas is genuinely slow. Many hotels and malls have paid parking, and street parking is often managed by attendants. A smaller car is easier to park; a larger car is more comfortable on the way there. Choose based on where you will spend more of the weekend.

Plan the Jakarta end too

Before you leave the city, check whether the odd-even traffic scheme (ganjil-genap) affects the roads you will use to reach the toll entrance at the hour you plan to depart. The covered roads and enforcement hours change over time, so check current signage and official sources rather than relying on what you remember from a previous trip. Leaving very early usually sidesteps the question entirely.
