What is the minimum age to rent a car?
Most providers require drivers to be at least 21 years old, with some premium and SUV categories set at 23 or 25. A minimum of one to two years holding a valid licence is also common. The exact age requirement is shown on each vehicle listing before you book.
Can I rent a car without a credit card?
It depends on the provider. Many accept debit cards or cash deposits, while others require a credit card to hold the security deposit. Each listing states the accepted payment and deposit methods, so you can filter for what works for you before booking.
Do I need an international driving permit?

Is there a mileage limit?
Many rentals include unlimited mileage, while some longer trips or premium cars apply a daily kilometre cap with a small per-kilometre charge beyond it. The mileage policy is listed on every vehicle so there are no surprises.
What insurance is included?
Rentals typically include basic third-party liability and a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess (deductible). You can often reduce or remove the excess with an optional protection package. Always review the coverage and excess amount on the listing before you confirm.
How does the security deposit work?
The provider holds a refundable deposit on your card at pickup to cover fuel, tolls, or damage. It is released after the car is returned in the agreed condition. The deposit amount is shown on each listing.
What is the fuel policy?
The most common policy is like-for-like: you receive the car with a certain fuel level and return it at the same level. Some providers offer a full-to-full or prepaid fuel option. The fuel policy is stated on the booking page.
What happens if I get a toll charge or traffic fine?
Toll charges — such as Salik in Dubai or Darb in Abu Dhabi — and any traffic fines incurred during your rental are your responsibility and are usually settled against your deposit. Many UAE rentals include a toll tag so you can drive without stopping.
Can I pick up and drop off at the airport?
Yes. Most providers offer airport pickup and drop-off, and many deliver the car to your hotel or address. Delivery options and any fee are shown on the listing.
